Additional functions for your work with KRIS

The KRIS Add-ons

KRIS can be expanded with additional functions as required. The following add-ons are available.

Redundancy

With KRIS, you are relying on a software solution that ensures maximum availability and security for your projects. Our sophisticated redundancy architecture ensures that uninterrupted operation is possible even in the event of a malfunction. The following measures are implemented:

  • Synchronization of project planning between servers

All project configurations are continuously synchronized between the servers so that identical settings can be accessed at any time.

  • Synchronization of data between servers

Operating and user data are continuously mirrored. This ensures that no information is lost in the event of a failure.

  • Automatic client switchover in the event of a fault

If a server fails, the connected clients are automatically switched to the redundant system – without any manual intervention.

  • Automatic synchronization after server failure

As soon as a failed server is available again, it is automatically synchronized with the current data and project status. This ensures that the system remains consistent at all times.

KRIS therefore not only offers you powerful functions, but also the assurance that your processes will continue to run reliably at all times – even in the event of a malfunction.

Tag import for PCS 7

Tag Import lets you combine the advantages of the Siemens PCS 7 and WinCC systems with the powerful performance of KRIS – saving you valuable time during project planning. This innovative tool enables all modules and instances to be transferred directly from the PCS 7 database to KRIS – without any time-consuming intermediate steps. A simple mouse click is all it takes to seamlessly link the systems and significantly reduce project planning time.

  • Automated data transfer from PCS 7 to KRIS
  • Data structures remain consistent right through to the hardware plan
  • No more manual linking of global databases
  • Automation minimizes the risk of project planning errors

OPC UA Server

With the OPC UA Server add-on, you can expand your KRIS installation with a powerful, standardized interface for secure and flexible data exchange with external systems and devices.

Features at a glance:

  • Read and write KRIS data points via the OPC UA standard
  • Fine-grained authorization control: Read and write permissions can be configured individually for each data point
  • Flexible architecture: The OPC UA server can be operated in isolation in a DMZ if required

This add-on facilitates the integration of KRIS into heterogeneous system landscapes – whether in automation, building management or other applications.

High-speed Writer

The high-speed recorder allows you to record measured values at high speeds of up to 20 milliseconds. Both binary and analog signals can be reliably recorded and evaluated in a fast cycle.

The recorded data can be clearly visualized in the integrated trend system. Archiving is flexible – either time-controlled or event-dependent.

REST API

With the REST API integrated into KRIS, we enable seamless connection of external systems via a clearly defined interface. This allows existing processes to be optimally expanded and automated.

  • Simple system connection: External applications or tools can communicate with KRIS easily – in a standardized and reliable manner.
  • Retrieve project data: The entire project can be conveniently read out via the API – ideal for evaluations, documentation, or further processing in third-party systems.
  • Access to current data: The latest data is always available via the API.
  • Parameter transfer: Values and parameters can be transferred directly via the API – for a consistent and media-break-free workflow.

The KRIS REST API makes your software environment more flexible, efficient, and future-proof.

MSCONS Interface

KRIS uses the standardized MSCONS (Metered Services Consumption Report) data format to automatically receive consumption data from the respective energy supplier (EVU). The system reads this data independently as soon as it is transmitted – usually by email – and transfers it directly to the application.

Functions at a glance:

  • Automatic mail retrieval: KRIS regularly checks mailboxes for incoming MSCONS messages from the EVU and reads them without manual intervention.
  • Central data distribution: The meter data received is automatically distributed in the system and assigned to the corresponding consumption points.
  • Heating value correction for gas: For gas consumption, KRIS automatically adopts the heating value-corrected consumption values provided by the utility company.

In this way, KRIS enables a seamless comparison between the consumption data determined by the energy supplier and, if necessary, your own measured values – for maximum transparency and control..
