Control processes efficiently and securely

Process Control

Process control refers to the monitoring and control of production processes to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently and in accordance with specified specifications. Through the use of various methods and technologies, the production process can be optimized, product quality is ensured, and deviations are detected and corrected at an early stage.

The process control system is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the production process and to enable the monitoring and control of production processes.

Important aspects of process control

  1. Monitoring: Process control involves the continuous monitoring of production parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, speed, and other variables that are critical to quality and efficiency. Sensors and other measuring devices are often used for this purpose.
  2. Control: Process control involves the implementation of control algorithms that enable the process to be automatically corrected when deviations are detected. Control systems can, for example, adjust valves, change machine parameters, or trigger alarms to keep the production process within specified limits.
  3. Automation: Modern process control systems use automation technologies such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), networked production systems, or Industry 4.0 solutions to minimize manual intervention and maximize efficiency.
  4. Data analysis and optimization: Process control often goes hand in hand with the analysis of the collected data in order to identify patterns and continuously improve the production process. Methods such as statistical process control (SPC) are used for this purpose.

Process control gives KRIS an operational character in addition to its informative one. The system works directly on the machine and can, for example, load recipe parameters into the machine control system. This ensures seamless and error-free implementation of production specifications. The system also monitors all parameters and notifies you immediately if problems arise. This keeps the entire process within the optimal range at all times – efficiently, safely, and reliably.

How we proceed with the implementation of your project

Planning of a Recipe System

RequirementsMethod
Which plant components are to be controlled by a recipe system?Check which controls need to be connected to the system for this purpose.
Can the system load into the control or is it only a display?Check plant networks and access.
Is there already a recipe documentation?Check whether the target values can be transferred to the system or whether the recipe structure needs to be reengineered.
Where should the system be operated and edited?Control room, office, remote.
Check the IT/OT structures, taking into account the safety rules.

Is additional programming required in the control system or on third-party systems?Check existing PCS7 programs.
Define interfaces to QLS or similar.
